The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) was founded in 1962 by the Canadian Nurses Association.
The mission of CNF is "to advance nursing knowledge and improve health care by providing research grants, awards, and scholarships to Canadian nurses and nursing students. We raise funds for our activities through diverse partnerships with responsible organizations and individuals who share our goals".
CNF offers scholarships and bursaries to Registered Nurses and nursing students at the baccalaureate, masters and doctorate level. They also offer scholarships to support aboriginal and internationally educated nurses.
In addition to providing financial support to Canadian nurses in pursuit of their educational goals, CNF also supports the development of leading-edge nursing research.
